Thank you to everyone who gave such positive feedback!! I didn't expect the game to perform as well as it has and it means to much to me seeing how many people are enjoying something I've made :))!!

This update is mainly revolving around speedrunning, as well as changing a few things based on feedback.

Mac support is coming super soon, sorry for the wait!!

  • Game has a speedrun.com page!!
  • Demo% timer
    • Added a setting to show the real names of demo levels for speedrun.com level runs
  • Added a 100% game timer
    • Work in progress, but early version in this update!!
    • Press Ctrl + T on the main menu to start a run
  • Timesheet feature
    • Work in progress, generates an image showcasing your times for every level
    • Press Ctrl + E on the main menu
    • File is generated to %appdata%\Godot\user_data\Egg Ascent\times
  • Added speedrun.com button to main menu, shown if timer is enabled
• Added keybinds for sucking/shooting and early portal teleport
  • E to suck/shoot eggs
  • Q to early teleport
• Pausing now shows the current level name
• Made egg11 easier
• Made portal7 easier (portal3 in demo)
• Can no longer double press UI buttons
• Fixed bug with portal eggs and springs where your vertical velocity would reset?? Probably??
• Fullscreen setting now updates if you enter fullscreen with F11
